“We have now stayed at Gaidrew Cottage on two occasions and each time we were absolutely delighted with everything.”
The Cottage has been beautifully renovated to a very high standard and furniture and fittings are of similar very high quality, with very comfortable beds. The kitchen is well set out and excellently equipped, whilst the bathroom and shower room are absolutely splendid. The integrated kitchen, dining area and sitting room is light and airy with superb views over pasture, valley and woodland. If the weather is poor, or you just wish to crash out and do very little, then the sitting room is an ideal place, and in better weather the lawn and terrace are delightful.
Mind you there are plenty of places to visit in the area - Stirling is not far away and the excellent Antique Centre at Doune can occupy you for at least half a day. Walking and cycling are well catered for, with the Queen Elizabeth Forest well worth your time. Local walks (gentle or more vigorous) from the Cottage are very enjoyable.
Really, there is nothing not to like about Gaidrew. We will be going a third time!
