Property information

Croft 23 is a beautifully situated holiday home in an outstanding location close to the coastline and with magnificent views stretching from the mountains of Torridon in the east and across the sea to Skye and Harris in the west. The house is surrounded by traditional crofting land and activities and, at certain times of the year, it is fascinating to watch the sheep gathered in for shearing.

Located on the peaceful, picturesque, west coast of Scotland this house sits perfectly in its surroundings. The contemporary design provides flexible, spacious accommodation over two levels and has a light and airy feel.

The magnificent glass atrium, which is flooded with natural light, creates a pleasant indoor-outdoor feel. It is even possible, on those stunning, clear, dark sky nights to watch the stars from the warmth of this lovely room.

The sitting room has three sets of patio doors which ensures this room is also light and airy but the wood burning stove and underfloor heating ensure that it is also deliciously warm.

South Erradale is an idyllic coastal crofting community famous for its superb scenery, white sandy beaches, wide open spaces and diverse wildlife.

Croft 23 has been thoughtfully equipped and furnished with the holiday maker in mind which ensures a comfortable and relaxing stay in this truly beautiful house and area.

    We have just returned from our second wonderful stay @ Croft 23 in consecutive years. We quite simply didn't want to leave, as the property is spotless, a real 'home from home' & located in the most wonderful part of Scotland (as mentioned last year). The lovely owners Laura & John, since last year had developed the garage area into an spacious games room, which was loved by us all but especially by our 12 year old son. Fortunately we had great weather(again) this year & even in the two days it rained we thoroughly enjoyed the Gairloch beaches & all the local amenities. Words cannot fully explain how we love this property, the Gairloch area & it's people. We can't recommend Croft 23 enough to anyone wanting a wonderfully free holiday in the most stunning location. The perfect outdoors are matched by this property - You won't be disappointed ! We'll be back :o) xxx

    If you are looking for tranquility, stunning outlooks, comfortable and relaxed surroundings, then Croft 23 has them all. There were 5 adults in our party, and the social spaces in the house were ideal for us. Probably the most comfortable bed I have slept in away from home - or maybe it was just all the fresh air and exercise we packed in to each day! Happy memories to treasure.

    Spent the most wonderful week at Croft 23. House is fabulous, spacious, warm, comfortable, a proper home from home. Tastefully furnished throughout. It's ideally situated for exploring Wester Ross, within easy reach of Applecross for a much awaited visit to the wonderful Applecross Inn, not only will the food blow you away but the journey over The Pass of the Cattle is not to be missed. The beaches of Wester Ross are stunning with Red Point only a few minutes drive or easy walking from the house. A walk round the point gives you two stunning beaches. The games room was just finished when we arrived and provided a great source of entertainment, a lovely thoughtful addition to a holiday home. Laura and John made us feel so welcome and information on the surrounding area is plentiful inc great recommendations on eating out. There are endless walks local to the house and beyond, our dogs just loved it, on the beach every day, often more than once a day. Our week in November was made even better by the wonderful weather we had and whatever the weather the house has something for everyone.

    We have just returned from Croft 23 & felt compelled to praise the property & its owners Laura / John Trevor. From the first minute we booked our holiday the 'personal touch' required to make a holiday special has been evident. LHH & Laura have maintained a very high level of communication taking care to keep us informed about the property & local community. Croft 23 itself is very spacious & immaculate inside, with the 'atrium' adjoining the living space is an impressive unique take on a conservatory. No matter what the weather you always return to a warm welcoming house. An extremely comfortable property with great beds & en suite bedrooms. Everything you could ask for was ready & waiting for us upon arrival. A ten minute stroll from Opinan beach, a five minute drive to Red Point North beach & a very pleasant fifteen minute drive to Gairloch beach...Perfectly positioned ! Who could ask for better ! All the beaches are extremely clean & I can highly recommend a half hour drive to the white sands of Mellon Udrigle beach (near Laide). The sea s turquoise !!! Who needs the Caribbean !!! LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS HOLIDAY !!! Andrew(aged 11yrs) gave it a 9/10. Can't wait to book again !!! :o)

    In our opinion Croft 23 ticks all the boxes! Comfy sofas, a comfy bed, lovely bright open plan living and plenty of space make it impossible not to completely relax. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped it sits in a secure garden which was ideal for our dogs. New to the rental market this year most of the furnishings, bed linen and equipment appear to be new and of very good quality. We received a document from the owner with information on the house and the local area prior to our visit which made us look forward to our wonderful holiday all the more. Laura, the owner, could not have been more pleasant and helpful. Thank you.

    We had a fabulous week at Croft 23. This holiday home was very tastefully decorated and very clean. It was lovely and bright. Would highly recommend. Useful welcome information left on the house and area.....which was great. Our children and dog were able to play in the garden safely - as completely fenced around.......so no impromptu expeditions! Our children also really enjoyed the table football in the atrium - which was a great bonus. Our children have asked if we can make it an annual event! So we better book early as I suspect that once Croft 23 becomes more widely known about (as was just starting on the holiday rentals when we went) - we may not get a slot!!! Great house in a great location. Thanks again for a lovely holiday.

    Croft 23 was superb and exceeded our expectations. We really had a fantastic time staying there and the owner went the extra mile to accommodate our last minute booking at the eleventh hour. As the property serves as the owner's holiday home as well as the holiday rental market the personal touches around the house really add to it and the quality of finish is excellent. Can't recommend the Croft highly enough and will most certainly be checking it's availability next time we holiday in the Gairloch Area.
