    “Fantastic place to stay.”

Views from the veranda were brilliant, the upside down layout works great and the sauna was an added bonus, so relaxing. Nothing too much trouble for the owners who made us feel very welcome.

The property

A wonderfully luxurious house for 6 with amazing views and a sauna with its own shower room. The house has been built to command the best views of the stunning scenery, being located at a height of over 1000ft above sea level. The views from the house are breathtaking at all times of the year and the sitting room and master bedroom have been located to benefit most of all from this amazing location. In addition, the house being built of thermal blocks ensures that the heat retention is astonishing, providing a warm and cosy house throughout the entire year including the best winter months for skiing. The house is of an exceptionally high specification and incorporates oak flooring with underfloor heating, solar panels, a superb sauna and dedicated wet room, three well appointed bedrooms, each with their own bath/shower rooms, and a spacious sitting room with wood-burning stove, balcony and large screen TV. There is a separate quiet area for sitting and reading or WiFi access. The house is very spacious and beautifully appointed. The bathrooms are ultra modern with rain shower systems with dual shower heads in 3 of the bathrooms. The sauna has its own dedicated shower room close by. The main social rooms are all on the first floor to capture the finest views. Whatever the season the tremendous vista from the sitting room window is spellbinding and will ensure many hours gazing! A well-equipped contemporary dining kitchen is the perfect place for friends to share the cooking and enjoy dining at the lovely glass and oak dining table. This spacious and luxurious holiday home has panoramic views from its hill top location. Extensive views across the glen and the mountains beyond with snow capped mountains in winter. Beautifully appointed throughout and tastefully presented, it's hard to imagine wanting to leave in order to explore. However, there is so much to do and see from this base that you will have to try to pull yourself away from the luxurious comforts of Glen View Lodge and sample some of the attractions awaiting you. First of all, the vast opportunity to enjoy outdoor pursuits meets the needs of many, whether you want to walk, fish, mountain climb, ski, or sail. Alternatively, just enjoy touring this beautiful glen and sample some of the fine dining to be found in the surrounding villages and in Inverness. Loch Ness is just a 10 minute drive down the hill where you can visit the Loch Ness Monster Exhibition or Historic Scotland's Urquhart Castle with its award-winning exhibition and cafe. Inverness, capital of the north, is only 30 minutes drive and historic Beauly just 20 minutes drive. Head up the glen to Glen Affric - one of Scotland's most iconic glens and one of the last wilderness areas in Europe - fantastic for wildlife, walking or mountaineering. Alternatively go south to Fort Augustus then further on to Fort William. The choice is yours but on your return, Glen View will welcome you back for a relaxing evening in the sauna and deep sleep in comfy beds. EPC Rating: Band B
