The property

Sea Breeze is a delightful cottage at the head of a sea loch which terminates in the Minch. From the house you can actually see the mountains on Skye, yet you are also close to the west coast of South Uist and the amazing 20 miles of sandy beach which runs down the west coast. The cottage has been renovated to a high standard in the summer of 2021 and all interior fittings and fixtures are new and of good quality. Sleeping 8 comfortably it is an ideal family holiday venue but would also work well for singles and couples sharing. The location couldn't be better as it is right at the mid point of the Uists giving easy access for touring Berneray, North Uist, Grimsay, Benbecula, South Uist, Eriskay and even a day trip across to Barra! Not far away is the Uist Food Trail and within a short drive you can eat well at several restaurants and cafes. There is a lovely Cafe gift shop not far away called the Hebridean Jewellery Shop, a definite for breakfasts or lunches. Shopping is easy as there is a Co-op supermarket a short drive away and another, privately owned, supermarket which has an eclectic collection of goods - here you can buy your staples of milk and bread, but if hardware is needed look no further! Or what about a Hebridean Wool Jacket? All in the one place! Wildlife enthusiasts should not stray from the cottage - just wait to see the resident otter, or the Sea Eagles which fish in the sea loch and there is always chance a deer might appear. However, more domesticated animals can be just as appealing such as the herd of Highland Cattle which munch away just over the fence. Whatever your reason for coming to the Hebrides you will not regret choosing Sea Breeze. The islands can be reached by flights from Edinburgh, Glasgow or Inverness; or by ferry from Uig on Skye to Lochmaddy, or Oban to Lochboisdale.

Creagorry is a peaceful coastal village on the south shore of Benbecula. It is known for the causeway which links it to South Uist and it offers several attractions including a historic 19th century inn. Dining options include the nearby Dark Island Hotel, while you can stock up on essentials at the Co-op. Within easy reach of the village is the lively town of Balivanich, where you can find further attractions and amenities such as a bakery, takeaway and the island’s airport.
