    “A superb place to spend a week or so.”

    The house was finished to a high standard and all the little touches like the water bottles, the champagne, the tunnocks were all gratefully received. The view was outstanding as well. We hope to be back one day.

The property

Once in a while, a truly unique holiday lodge is created which surpasses all expectation and which earns the accolade of LHH Elite - a 6 Star grading, reflecting that no expense is spared in the provision and presentation of a superbly luxurious holiday venue. The Sheep Station Two (and it's big sister, The Sheep Station One,) is our latest, adding to those super-special destination holiday properties which are rarely found for self-catering occupancy. From arrival, with the welcoming gift of Bamford toiletries, personalised water bottle and little extras, it is clear that this is no ordinary holiday lodge. The attention to detail and inclusion of White Company goose down bedding and luxurious Egyptian cotton linens, fluffy bath robes and slippers, ensures that your holiday experience at the Sheep Station will be one you will never forget. The C.P Hart bathroom is spacious and unique with a double ended slipper bath and large shower cubicle with drench alternative directional shower. The kitchen is well equipped with top range facilites and the whole is floored with antique wooden floors. Jim Lawrence light fittings just add to that touch of class as do the Fired Earth ceramics. Situated on the magnificent and much sought after west coast of Harris with view across the sand dune to the Island of Taransay, what more could you wish for? If seafood is your favourite you will be delighted to know that in season all manner of shellfish can be bought locally from the Harris fishermen. The Harris golf course is a short drive down the road as is the magnificent Scarista beach. Please note: The Sheep Station Two has been created very much with the couple in mind and has not been designed to accommodate a baby or toddler. The islands can be reached by flights from Edinburgh, Glasgow or Inverness; or by ferry from Uig on Skye to Tarbert, or Ullapool to Stornoway.

Leverburgh is a village resting at the south end of the Isle of Harris. Surrounded by water, Leverburgh is known as a fishing port and the village boasts a number of fantastic cafes and restaurants and just outside the village is Sam’s Seafood Shack which offers a delicious selection of locally caught fish and seafood. While you are in Leverburgh you can stock up on essentials at Harris Community shop and there is even a store selling local tweed, Borrisdale Tweed. Nearby attractions include the dramatic coastline at Bagh Steinigidh and Nisabost beach, the North Harris Eagle Observatory at Meavaig and woodland walks at Ardvourlie Woodland.
