  • "Very comfortable and pretty much everything we needed."

Just a couple of minor improvements would be to provide a hairdryer and an adaptor to enable shaver charging. Otherwise all perfect including the weather

Peace and tranquility broken only by the sounds nature intends. Come to South Uist with open minds and you'll leave with full hearts, it really is a magical place. A Mhairead agus Aonghas Iain, mìle taing. Bidh sinn air ais!

  • "The property was a perfect base for a holiday on Uist , stunning beach a short walk away and the house itself was very comfortable and with all amenities."

Enjoyed reading about the history of the house too! Dining room was a lovely sun trap and we saw some great sunsets. Very much enjoyed the welcome basket too!

  • "Taigh Dhonnchaidh is a really lovely cottage which has been thoughtfully stocked with good quality kitchenware and everything that's needed for self catering."

We were very impressed with the generous welcome pack and it was lovely chatting with the owner on arrival. The sunroom/dining room is a great place to watch birds from, within minutes of arriving we had seen both Short eared owls and a female hen harrier. We also saw White tailed eagles. The walks from the door are lovely and it is very well placed to explore South and North Uist as well as Eriskay and Barra. Thank you for a very lovely week, we hope to return and would certainly recommend your very comfortable cottage.

  • "We had a really great break in this cottage."

It was perfect for me and my friends and our wee dogs. The welcome pack left for us by the owners was a lovely touch (wine, shortbread, oatcakes, Easter cake) and hugely appreciated. The accommodation was very cosy and well equipped, and only a few minutes walk to a beautiful beach. The location was great for exploring Eriskay, North and South Uist, Benbecula and Berneray. I hope yo return there soon.

It was perfect for our family visit to Uist and allowed us to explore the islands with ease. It's amazingly close to the beach and situated in a lovely stretch of the islands. The arrival gifts were a very welcome surprise and I couldn't recommend this property more to anyone wanting to explore the Outer Hebrides. Thanks!

  • "A very comfortable cottage, centrally located to allow easy access to all the Southern Outer Hebrides Islands."

The sun room was perfect for watching the sea, sun set and looking out for day active short-eared owls. Fabulous to have a bathroom for each bedroom, a well equipped kitchen, good wi-fi and plentiful seating.
