Thank you very much for your feedback. We agree that the house does indeed need a bit of TLC and this is all in hand for the winter months when the house is unoccupied. I hope it didn't spoil your stay too much. Property Owner

The property

Arisaig is one of the most desirable villages on the west coast of Scotland and was made famous in the film 'Local Hero' (an old classic!). It is situated at the western end of the scenic 'Road to the Isles' which parallels the Hogwarts Express train line, known as one of the most beautiful steam train routes in Britain. There is a train station in Arisaig so it is possible to incorporate a steam train journey into your holiday. The coastal line here is one of golden sandy beaches, vast seascapes and stunning sunsets over the 'small isles' of Eigg, Rùm, Muck and Skye. The skies are vast and in winter, a glittering backdrop of stars. It is no exaggeration to say that the area is breathtaking at any time of the year. Star na Mara is a modern house commanding wonderful views from an elevated site and close enough to the village for the convenience of the shop, cafe and restaurant. Internally the house has been planned to get absolutely maximum benefit from the views with the main living room and kitchen dining room enjoying the immense panorama. Underfloor heating means the house is warmed at all time of the year and the sitting room has the added comfort of a multi fuel burning stove. The kitchen is well equipped and the bed linen and towels are of a high quality. The house is situated in classic west coast crofting land and offers a peaceful and relaxing base to explore this beautiful part of Scotland's west coast.

EPC Rating: Band C
