  • "Firstly, the cottage was comfortable and well located for a great holiday."

However, in no way could it be classified as a luxury cottage. The garden was definitely not child friendly with builders debris (including steel reinforcing mesh and concrete pieces) lying around exposed - it was enclosed so good for dogs, but not safe with the debris there. The leather dining chairs were falling apart with pieces of leather falling off; the pots and frying pan were pealing and difficult to clean etc. - would luxury accommodation have mismatched cutlery etc (maybe petty but we were paying for a "luxury" cottage). However the worst aspect was an infestation of wood lice when we arrived. We had to keep killing them and sweeping them up from around the skirting boards and window cills for the first few days but the odd one was still seen up to the end of our stay. With an infant crawling around this was totally unacceptable.

  • "Perfect house, everything was spot on."

Fenced area save for our dog. Great location, beautiful beach close by. Some of our group worked from there and internet/wifi was very good. Highly Recommend it!

  • "It was a treat to stay at Anchor; the house was wonderfully clean and comfortable, and the surrounding area is beautiful."

The housekeeper & owner helped everything run smoothly for us. It’s an ideal spot for young children - with a stunning beach & play park within walking distance. The basket of toys was also very well received! Thank you for a lovely stay!
