  • "WOW!! What an amazing property"

. Spotless, high spec throughout and a kitchen that any chef would die for, all located in a place with a view that I can’t describe as it was so beautiful and changed with the weather throughout the day. The property is positioned perfectly for experiencing all the activities and places of interest around Skye, Raasay, and the mainland. Right next to the ferry to Mallaig , and 30 minutes drive for the 15 minute ferry ride to Raasay which is a unique place to visit. The house was cosy with underfloor heating and an easy guide left for boosting the central heating,so we returned each day to a luxurious retreat after the unpredictable weather conditions on Skye. Every detail of this property has been picked to deliver the best holiday experience and we can’t wait to return soon

  • "My husband and I returned yesterday from your beautiful property in Skye having had the most fabulous time there."

I have been many times before however I was introducing my husband to the delights of the island. As you can imagine I was a little nervous having bleated on about the place for years that I had perhaps oversold it, however Skye & Teangue House did their absolute best and he is now as in love with the island as I am. I just wanted to say thank you for allowing us to rent your amazing property. We were blown away from the moment we stepped in with its jaw dropping views and how well it was appointed. We are keen walkers and the space and facilities you have were just perfect for the paraphernalia required to walk in the all-weathers that Scotland throws at you on a daily basis. We walked Skye top to bottom and side to side and whilst some of the drives were a little longer than others, it gave us the opportunity to see the island. Your lounge view in the evening however was always a perfect way to finish off the day........ and the small glass of something alcoholic was purely for medicinal purposes to ease the muscles!!! We were supposed to be travelling with friends however COVID put paid to that but we now have a perfect excuse to return....... if we ever needed another one to add the other substantial list of reasons to come back. Thank you again, you have a truly magnificent property and you've given us some quite amazing memories.

The property

Perched on a stunning hillside in Sleat, on the Isle of Skye, overlooking the ever-changing waterscapes and rugged hills of Knoydart, Teangue House blends into the landscape as a traditional cottage and captures panoramic views.

Suitable for families or groups of adults, this property is located on The Sleat Peninsula, in a region known as the “Garden of Skye” due to the greenness and lushness of the area in comparison to the more rugged areas of Scotland.

With a contemporary wooden extension merging with a traditional croft house, this property captivates your attention with the way that it commands breath-taking views and welcomes you into a fresh renovated space. After using the off-road parking to conveniently unpack your bags, you will find yourself in a stunning open plan kitchen/diner and sitting area that looks out over the valley through large windows, opening onto a decking area, the perfect place to watch the stars with a glass of your favourite beverage in hand. Indulge in local cuisine, impressing your friends and family with evening meals rustled up in the fully outfitted kitchen.

When your clothes are sandy and you need to relax, make use of the convenient utility room whilst you recline in a separate sitting room and take in the peaceful atmosphere of the cottage whilst warming your feet beside the woodburning stove or catching up on your favourite TV shows.

As the evening draws to a close, you can find yourself in one of four bedrooms, beginning with a homely yet contemporary ground-floor king-size bedroom with an en-suite where you can enjoy a refreshing soak in the bath.

After climbing the quirky staircase, you will find three more bedrooms; two twin rooms, one with a shower room and a double room.

All rooms are fitted with elegant décor and wooden flooring, making for a tidy and crisp finish.

When adventures call, there is an abundance of local beaches to choose from and walks to explore the landscape further.

If you fancy something different, why not visit Torabhaig Distillery and café to sample local flavours, or indulge in Hill walking, mountaineering, kayaking, and canoeing across the varied terrain of the island?

Have a hot meal brought to you whilst you reflect on the day’s events when you visit Broadford; a selection of pubs and convenience stores are available for you.

You can even get a ferry to the mainland at Mallaig to explore more of the many attractions Scotland has to offer. With unforgettable scenery and exiting activities, a stay at Teangue House is sure to be one you and your family will love.
