This stunning home is ideal for a group of friends, a family, or a couple who want to spend some time in rural Scotland with their dogs because of its breath-taking location and the truly exceptional views all around, as well as its homely and warm interior where the woodburning stove forms the heart of the home and its three beautifully-appointed bedrooms. After stepping through the front door of your temporary dwelling, hasten to the kitchen to help whip up some delectable meals for the group to share at the dining room table. There's no better way to unwind after a day of adventure than to gather with your loved ones on the plush sofa and watch a movie on the Smart TV while your feet warm by the woodburning stove. Step outside in the evening to raise a glass to your holiday and reflect on the wonderful memories you've made against the rural island's enchanting backdrop. When night falls, head upstairs to the contemporary bathroom and then pick between the king-size or twin bedroom on the first level; there's also a king-size with an en suite wet room on the ground floor. Visit Baleshare Beach with your dog throughout the day to soak up some rays and take in the Island's magnificent scenery as you take a stroll down the white sand and gaze out over the Atlantic. Water sports such as kitesurfing, paddle boarding, wild swimming, kayaking, and surfing, which is especially popular at Hosta Beach, are also abundant on the island, making it a paradise for outdoor adventurers. The RSPB Nature Reserve at Balranald is a great place to observe the unique flora and fauna that populate North Uist, or visitors can go on one of the island's customary boat tours to look for marine mammals including dolphins, orcas, porpoises, and otters. About the location

LOCHMADDY, NORTH UIST

Balivanich 18 miles.

The village of Lochmaddy is the terminus for the daily ferry linking it to Uig on the Isle of Skye and it is also the main centre of population for the island of North Uist. Lochmaddy has good facilities and services including a selection of hotels serving fresh local produce in their dining rooms. A visit to the award-winning museum and arts centre located in the centre of Lochmaddy is a must, and there is also a tourist office full of information about local events and places to visit. The road south of Lochmaddy will lead you to the village of Carinish some 10 miles away and if you continue on this road you can cross the causeway to the island of Benbecula. The town of Balivanich in Benbecula offers shops, post office, a bank, restaurant, a petrol station and an airport, from which car hire can be arranged. The causeway from Benbecula then leads onward to the island of South Uist.
