  • "A beautiful and comfortable house in a fantastic location."

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Penisula Cottage and are dreaming of coming back."

The location and views are excellent and the home immaculate and well appointed with everything we needed. The owners were welcoming and responsive, which was appreciated. There was a glitch with the fireplace and the owners stopped by to try and correct it. I appreciated and enjoyed the beautiful eggs - and the milk that were in the refrigerator when we arrived and that the hot tub was hot. I love a hot hot tub. The only thing I might have changed is that the mattress was a bit firm for me. I prefer a softer mattress to sleep on.

  • "Property was ok but disappointed with the area it was in which looked very run down."

Nice evening views over the sea (when it didn’t rain!) but had to travel out of Stornaway to reach nice places. Would not recommend as would not recommend Stornaway as a place to stay. Single bathroom was a nuisance with 4 of us staying. Minimal crockery eg only 6 mugs. Looked forward to using hot tub but changed our minds when saw it was in a pretty horrible place in a back yard. Disappointed with this accommodation.

Beautiful location. Sunsets several evenings, walks along the beach from the house.

  • "Great holiday cottage in a great location."

Was great waking up every morning looking out to the sea. The cottage was in good condition and had everything that we needed for our stay. Great location near to Stornoway and good base to explore Lewis and Harris.

  • "A fantastic holiday cottage in an excellent location for exploring Lewis and Harris."

The cottage was spotlessly clean, well maintained and had everything we needed and more for a great stay. The beds were most comfortable, probably the most comfortable beds we’ve ever had in a holiday cottage (and hotel for that matter!). The hot tub was also a great addition to enjoy at the end of a busy day!

  • "Peninsula Cottage was perfect for us."

The accommodation is exactly as advertised and was prepared to a very high standard for our arrival. The house and kitchen are very well equipped. The location is ideal - secluded enough to feel very relaxed (great sunset views) but just ten minutes from the town centre. All the must see sites are within driving distance. We would return in the future.

It is a fantastic property with big opening decking doors to bring the world in !! The view from here across the bay is excellent and the sunsets and sunrises are spectacular. The property is in a good position for touring Lewis. Everything is spotless and well presented with all the things you would want...Well worth a visit

We managed to go to some of the lovely beaches that you have. My friends and I hope to come back in the near future , Carmen and John were most helpful with anything we asked about . This made our stay in their cottage excellent , nothing was too much trouble. This was 5* luxury and a very relaxing week.

  • "Peninsula, what a spectacular location."

My wife and I spent the weekend for our wedding anniversary. It was perfect, the cottage was open plan, very warm and welcoming. It had amazing views of the sea, the beach which was a few minutes walk away plus I could see little lambs bouncing about in the fields out the back. We had a BBQ and then we relaxed and enjoyed a jacuzzi at 10 O' clock at night what a dream....... Beds are so comfy, best nights sleep. Well decorated, everything that you would expect from a 5 Star plus more. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this cottage; it was a memorable holiday. See you next year!

  • "We stayed here for 2 weeks at the end of 2014, arriving just before the 'weather bomb' hit."

We loved this cottage (and the island) - it is immaculately clean and well equipped - it looked brand new. Carmen and John were brilliant and let us know that they were on hand if needed but weren't intrusive, and I loved that they delivered a blanket and some hot chocolate when the power went out. We left feeling revitalised and with plans to return...

  • "Penisula Cottage was lovely and very well equipped."

The location was fantastic with two beautiful beaches just steps from the cottage and beautifuls views from the living room and bedroom. It was quiet and felt remote but with all the amenities of Stornaway close to hand. We would love to return as we did not manage to see all the sights and the cottage was a perfect base for exploring.

  • "We have enjoyed staying at Peninsula Cottage very much."

The house is very well appointed and we appreciated all commodities and the modern and clean design. The garden is also well tended. The hot tub felt like a reward after a day out exploring Lewis in not so favourable weather. The settings and views are very peaceful but close enough to town to go out dining or shopping on instant decision. We would highly recommend the cottage to anyone planning to stay in Lewis and would rent it again, should we come back to the Outer Hebrides. Our experience with LHH has also been a very good one; we'll sure look for other LHH managed properties when planning for a trip. Please, forward our comments to the owners. We would like to thank them and LHH for helping make our holiday a very positive and memorable experience.

! What a relaxing week filled with wonderful sites and peaceful evenings! The property was more than I imagined and I would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the Isle of Lewis. The location was great, close enough to town for everything, but far enough away and secluded to enjoy the peaceful views and relax. We had absolutely no complaints and would love to stay here again!
