The house was lovely, cosy and well equipped with everything we needed to cook Christmas dinner. We had such a magical time here, would recommend 100%.

  • "A lovely house in a great location."

Immaculately clean and had everything we needed for our week away. The hot tub was a real bonus and was great on cold evenings! A 10 minute drive is Killin which has a really well stocked Co-op and a pub of course. We loved the house and hope to stay again one day.

  • "Being at Ardchyle House was like being at our own holiday home without the year long costs."

Furnishings were good quality and very comfortable. The gardens are lovely and well maintained with good outdoor seating and tables. Great positioning to visit many attractions and the Coop store in Killin is so well stocked you're sure to have a well earned stay-in day should you want it. We had a lovely weeks holiday with so many places to visit and knowing we had somewhere home from home to go back too. Thank you.

The McIntyre family have put so much thought into ensuring everything anyone could need is there in abundance. Lovely comfy quality beds and furnishings. Full sky package and wi fi great for kids. Loved the fairy tale garden with the stream and of course the top of the range hot tub with built in wifi to pair with phone for music....amazing. The area is stunning. For brave drivers a trip up Ben Lowers is highly recommended. Thank you McIntyre family for providing this lovely property for our fabulous holiday. Hot tub was super relaxing, would be nice to have a roof over it to enjoy it during some rainy evenings too! Kitchen had everything, including a little air fryer, which made cooking up small meals for 2 super easy. Overall, absolutely stunning stay, hope to come back!

Spacious kitchen/dinning area with every utensil you could ever need at your fingertips. Plenty of crockery and glasses for every occasion. Luxury hot tub and outdoor space . • "We had a great weekend, the location, and the facilities were fabulous."

The perfect combination of peaceful but close to Killin. One of us had to sleep in the lounge as the twin and single bedrooms were damp, with signs of damp on the walls. It’d be great to get that sorted in the winter. A few more suggestions, thicker warmer duvets in the winter would be better, bins in bedrooms, and towels in bedrooms too. Whilst there was a good selection of essentials in the cupboards which was great and above and beyond , there was no coffee, and it’d be great to make sure that was there. The welcome gift however was a lovely surprise. We enjoyed the hot tub and the bathrooms were lovely, the TV fantastic and the kitchen a great size with everything you need. These wee suggestions would make it even better, but please attend to the damp and wash the walls with some bleach.

  • "Property would benefit from a tumble dryer/washing line as a family home in quite a wet area."

Also, although we were made aware that the top oven wasn't switching off, it was disappointing that the grill and top oven weren't properly functioning. Cleanliness was good but 2 bedrooms in particular were very clearly suffering from damp problems and the smell was bad and didn't feel a healthy environment for the kids. Also, the dishwasher didn't drain on the normal program. Plus side was a lovely location and superb hot tub.

Hi there, thank you for your feedback, its always welcome. Firstly we are sad to hear you had a few disappointments. There actually is a tumble dryer at the property for guests to use, which is located in the garage. I was made aware of the issue with the control knob for the grill by previous guests and we have now ordered a replacement cooker, apologies that we couldn't have that ready for your arrival. The damp issue in the lower bedroom has been caused by pooling water on the slabs of the pathway outside of the house, we have recently had new drainage installed at that area and hoped that had rectified the problem, but we will have that double checked again asap. The dishwasher has never had any problems previously so we will also have that checked out. A couple of these complaints could have been checked out and rectified with a phone call to make us aware. Apologies again and otherwise we hope you had a nice holiday. Property Owner

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here."

The hot tub was superb after a day of activity. The property is beautiful and very well decorated and looked after. One of the best equipped kitchens we have experienced. Ideally placed, it is close to the main road but it is generally very quiet. Seeing red squirrels and loads of different birds in the garden and the sightings of deer opposite were lovely. Definitely want to return again. Thank you

  • "What an incredible house in a beautiful location!"

We loved staying here and loved meeting your mum on the last day as we were leaving. The house is modern inside and has everything you could possibly need. Its a real home from home and of the highest standard. Outside, the house has incredible views of valleys and mountains and a beautiful garden. The hot tub was an added bonus and so peaceful at the end of day exploring. Make sure to visit Killin nearby. So many places within an hour - Oban, Stirling, lochs, mountains, castles...we visited Dewar distillery and the Scottish Crannog Centre - both wonderful. A great house - we would really recommend this one! (Stayed May 2021).

  • "Arrived with family."

We were all absolutely stunned by the location and after a walk around the surrounding beautiful garden to take in the scenery, we ventured inside. The house was gorgeous and immaculate! As it was a gift for my fathers birthday, we were delighted with the very thoughtful birthday greeting! Lounge with the log fire was ideal for chilling in the evening. Kitchen was large had everything you could need. Even the small tv room was somewhere for the young ones to go a play their Switch(other consoles are available) Upstairs the master was indeed beautiful and an extremely fitting rest point for the man of the moment. And where do I begin with the en-suite?? Bath was fabulous and the shower was incredible!! The other bedrooms were also extremely adequate and comfortable. Great sleeps all round! The hottub was the icing on the cake! An excellent addition to an already grand house and gardens. There was fantastic and quick communication with the owner, who we unfortunately never got to meet due to the COVID situation. Highly recommended for comfort, facilities and location 5*

  • "We had a wonderful family break at Ardchyle."

Very comfortable, well equipped house with lovely homely touches from the log fire, vast array of books and games to the quality bedding and fantastic facilities. Great response from the owner when we had a short power cut as result of Storm Ciara. Could not recommend this house enough. Lots to do in the local area but enough in the house to keep you occupied if looking for a relaxing break. The hot tub......wow! A brilliant addition to what is a fantastic, spacious house. Will hopefully visit again in the summer. Thank you.

About the location

KILLIN

Aberfeldy 22 miles; Pitlochry 36 miles; Perth 44 miles.

The village of Killin, on the edge of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, in the area of Breadalbane, sits across the stunning Falls of Dochart and has been settled since ancient times. Cup markings on rocks and stone circles tell of an ancient race that inhabited this area. Christianity came to Breadalbane in the 8th century with St Fillan with the Mill bearing his name and St Fillan’s Day held on the 3rd Tuesday in January. The village is strongly associated with two renowned clans, Clan Campbell and Clan MacNab. Finlarig Castle, to the north of the village, was the Campbell stronghold and the MacNabs have their ancient burial ground of Inchbuie near the bridge over the falls. Killin today is a popular tourist destination, due in no small part to the use of the falls in various films and television programmes. The village today has a varied selection of shops, bars and restaurants and watersports are available on nearby Loch Tay. Ideal for walking, Killin has Ben Lawers, the highest of the surrounding Bens, to the north and Ben More and Stobinian to the west.
