“Amazing place, set in the Scottish highlands, everything you could possibly be provided in the kitchen.”

Loads of space, i was working remotely and the chairs were very comfortable, Internet a little sporadic, but manageable. 100% Cotton sheets, confirm this is a place we would definitely come back too.

The property

Glenforsa House has been purpose built to give maximum light and incredible views. The house can be let separately for 6 or in conjunction with the adjoining Little Glenforsa which sleeps 4, which is available as a separate rental. Both are well-equipped and designed to offer guests an exceptionally comfortable stay, with the most tremendous views across the Sound of Mull. Glenforsa House, with 260 sq. m/2800 sq. ft of internal space, has a large open plan sitting and dining room to seat 10. The full length windows in the sitting room allow for stunning views at any time of the day. Well-tended grounds and a summer house make outdoor entertaining possible with barbecue and garden furniture. There are plenty of sailings to take you either to the Treshnish Isles to see the puffin colony or to the Isle of Staffa and the magical Fingal's Cave. There are sea safaris to look for the whales, dolphins and seals which inhabit the waters surrounding Mull and the island is noted for its sea eagles and otters, both of which are frequently seen around the coast. There are plenty of places to eat out or to purchase excellent island food and seafood to prepare back at Glenforsa as we are sure you will not wish to stay away from this lovely house for too long! The island can be reached by ferry from Oban to Craignure, Lochaline to Fishnish or Kilchoan to Tobermory. EPC Rating: Band E

About the location

SALEN, ISLE OF MULL

Tobermory 9 miles; Lochdon 12.5 miles; Ardalanish 41.5 miles.

On the Isle of Mull, the picturesque village of Salen is halfway between the main ferry terminal of Craignure and the island's capital, Tobermory. Salen boasts two hotels, an Italian restaurant and a coffee shop and hosts an agricultural show each summer. In and around Salen you can enjoy mountain biking, pony trekking, walking and bird watching. Salen is the ideal base for exploring this inner Hebridean island, whose highlights include the dramatic scenery of the Gribun rocks on the west coast, the delightful expanse of Calgary Bay and its beach and, of course, Tobermory, most recently used as the setting for the popular BBC children's series 'Balamory'. Tobermory is the main town on the island with a choice of restaurants and shops, a whisky distillery and chocolate factory - all well worth a visit.

Note: Bring own linen for travel cot. Note: Though electricity is included in the rent, electric for charging cars is not included in the rental. Note: Please bear in mind that this property is located on an island and therefore only accessible by ferry.
