“The bungalows gave out as we drove along the shore of Glen Etive, with Ardchattan Priory heightening expectations as we neared our destination.”

The location is truly wonderful: photographs do not capture the whole experience of being here. We ate every meal on the terrace looking over the huge lawn and the loch (few midges at this time of year, thankfully).
The house itself is enjoyably unfussy and simple inside. We were the first guests, and one or two issues will need resolving – but please don’t spoil it by over-modernising! We were only 6 due to Covid restrictions: the house would struggle with 12.
