Kinclune means 'head of the meadow'. It enjoys extraordinary views over the fertile Vale of Strathmore and offers a truly peaceful and rejuvenating holiday. Recently refurbished to a high standard it offers luxurious accommodation for friend groups or family holidays After parking up, enter the main house to be greeted by a wonderfully equipped kitchen/diner, boasting all the essentials required to prepare hearty and delicious meals for the whole family. Settle down in the dining table, ready to tuck in over a cold glass of wine, or venture outside to the private garden, basing yourself under the pergola as the sights of rural Scotland set the most picturesque backdrop. On colder days, cosy up in the snug with its woodburning stove and smart TV or head to the sitting room, ready to invite some healthy competition with a board game or two. When the evening draws to a close, retreat upstairs to the first floor, home to five tastefully-decorated bedrooms, one of which boasts its very own en-suite. Kirriemuir is a lovely red sandstone town in the valley of Strathmore, regarded as the gateway to the Angus Glens, which offer some of Scotland's most unspoiled landscape. The town is home to the birthplace of novelist JM Barrie, creator of the much-loved children's character Peter Pan and the house is now a museum looked after by the National Trust for Scotland. A statue of Peter Pan can be found in the town. Kirriemuir also offers Glamis Castle and the historic Pictish Stones at Meigle, while the Angus Glens offer great hill walking and climbing. With a fine variety of shops, hotels and pubs in the town and surrounding area, there is something here to suit all tastes.
