Drummuie House is a Grade B listed house located half a mile south of the Sutherland town of Golspie, and enjoys fine sea views across the Dornoch and Moray Firths.
Originally built in 1809 by Captain Robert Sutherland, a Napoleonic veteran, it was gentrified by the Sutherland Estate in 1870. Now providing a warm, comfortable and relaxing home, Drummuie is ideal for families, or larger groups, to enjoy a great self-catering holiday in the highlands.
There are large, safe, sandy beaches at Dornoch and Embo, both of which are only a short drive away, and Golspie beach has won an award for its cleanliness.
First-class golfing facilities are available at the Royal Dornoch, Golspie, Brora and Tain.
Loch and river game fishing are available by arrangement, and sea angling trips are available on a daily basis from Brora.
There is a fruit and vegetable garden from which you are welcome to take seasonal produce.
