All the principal rooms are well proportioned, beautifully furnished and warm, and on the ground floor each has its own fireplace. The flagstone entrance hall leads through an arch into a stunning reception hall, and from here steps lead up to the formal dining room, which makes this ideal for special event dinners.

The main gardens feature extensive lawns with borders and a rockery, along with a number of mature trees for shelter - and 'hide-and-seek'! There is also an attractive walled garden - the perfect setting for barbecues, or just relaxing and drinking in the peace and quiet of this tranquil glen.

Only a few miles away are the famous market towns of Kelso and Jedburgh with their cashmere boutiques and historic abbeys. The Roxburghe Championship Golf Course, Kelso Racecourse and world-renowned fishing on the River Tweed are major attractions in this area. There are plenty of outdoor pursuits to be enjoyed, including horse riding, fishing, shooting, National Hunt Racing, and walking or cycling in the nearby Cheviot Hills. The pretty village of Morebattle, a mile away, has a well-stocked shop, and there is a good butcher in Yetholm (3 miles) which delivers. Also nearby is the Teviot Smokery with its extensive delicatessen and tempting restaurant.
