Accommodation
6 cottages sleeping 4 (double and twin bedroom + sofa bed)
1 cottage sleeping 2 (twin bedroom + sofa bed)
2 log cabins sleeping 4 (double and twin bedroom) - at extra cost - please book separately. These are suitable for disability requirements as they have wet-rooms and ramps.
All accommodation is on the ground floor in three of the 2-bedroom cottages, and in both of the log cabins. The sofa beds are provided to allow flexibility rather than additional guest accommodation.
Communal areas include:
Large social/party room with wood burning stove, indoor gas barbecue, electric cooker (oven and hob), large pans for catering for a large group, darts, bar area with fridge and large table and seating
Laundry facility
All the Acharn Cottages (Ash, Beech, Elm, Oak, Pine, Poplar and Rowan) and the Acharn Log Cabins (Alder and Maple) can be rented on an individual basis throughout the year, except for New Year when all the cottages and cabins are rented together. All cottages and cabins have their own web pages where more detailed information can be found.
Acharn Courtyard, whilst being let as a whole for large groups is also available for smaller parties using individual cottages. The smallest cottage sleeps 2 and the others sleep 4. The cottages are listed separately on this website and are all named after trees; Alder, Ash, Beech, Elm, Maple, Oak, Pine, Poplar and Rowan.
For large groups, Acharn Courtyard offers a totally different experience to country house accommodation. This complex has been purposely designed to provide accommodation for large groups that like to enjoy their own private apartments, whilst benefiting from the communal facilities for socialising.
There is a spacious and attractive relaxation area, which has been fitted out as a social room with tables, seating, barbecue, electric cooker (oven and hob), wood burning stove, bar and games. Clear the tables away and have a dance or a party! Then have the luxury of retiring to your own private cottage just yards away. This complex would also make an ideal wedding venue for a maximum of 38 guests.
The area has so much to offer everyone, which ensures that all the varied interests of a large party can be met. There is a golf course close by, a tennis court on site, and endless other outdoor sports and activities. In the evening, gather together and share the experiences of the day with a glass of wine and a barbecue.
Please note that these rates are for the 7 courtyard cottage sleeping 26. The two log cabins can be booked on this website also. They are called Maple and Alder Log Cabins
