With panoramic views across the Dornoch Firth and west into the Sutherland hills, Cuthill (pronounced 'Kettle') House is perfect for either a family beach holiday, or for golfers visiting the fine courses at Dornoch, Golspie and Tain.
Cuthill House is an early 19th-century house, which has recently undergone extensive renovation and has been furnished in a period style to provide a comfortable and atmospheric holiday home. One of its best features is the superb and extremely spacious playroom/dance hall: the perfect place for Scottish Country Dancing!
There is ample parking and the surrounding grounds provide a safe area for children to play. With the house comes a mile of private coastline and heather-covered sand dunes, which are part of the Dornoch Firth nature reserve.
Golfers: Being so close to the famous Royal Dornoch golf course - www.royaldornoch.com - this is an ideal house for those who want the comfort of a home rather than a hotel for their golfing holiday.
Dornoch is an attractive cathedral town, with huge spectacular beaches, quality shops and restaurants, and has the added attraction of low rainfall and long sunshine hours.
The Dornoch Firth is home to seals, dolphins and many migratory and resident birds, including nesting ospreys in the springtime. It is an internationally important wintering ground for migratory wildfowl, including whooper swans, greylag and pink-footed geese, widgeon and teal.
With easy access to the A9, yet being situated down a quiet and secluded single-track road, Cuthill enjoys the best of both worlds - peaceful yet accessible.
