Property information

Glenforsa House (sleeps 6) and Little Glenforsa (sleeps 4) have been purpose built to give maximum light and incredible views. They are let as one but Glenforsa House may be booked at a discounted rate for 6. As very last minute and if Glenforsa House is not already booked we can offer Little Glenforsa on its own at a reduced rental. Both are well-equipped and designed to offer guests an exceptionally comfortable stay, with the most tremendous views across the Sound of Mull.

River and loch fishing can be arranged on a daily or weekly basis with 2 rods available and the nearest pool just below the house and close to the shore.

The main house, with 260 sq. m/2800 sq. ft of internal space, has a large open plan sitting and dining room to seat 10. The full length windows in the sitting room allow for stunning views at any time of the day. Well-tended grounds and a summer house make outdoor entertaining possible with barbecue and garden furniture.

There are plenty of sailings to take you either to the Treshnish Isles to see the puffin colony or to the Isle of Staffa and the magical Fingal's Cave. There are sea safaris to look for the whales, dolphins and seals which inhabit the waters surrounding Mull and the island is noted for its sea eagles and otters, both of which are frequently seen around the coast. There are plenty of places to eat out or to purchase excellent island food and seafood to prepare back at Glenforsa as we are sure you will not wish to stay away from this lovely house for too long!

We had an absolutely wonderful holiday at Glenforsa House. I couldn’t recommend the property highly enough. It was our first visit to Mull and the house has certainly got one of the finest views on the island. We’ve stayed at many beautiful holiday houses over the years but the panoramic nature of the outlook is quite superb. We had really good weather for most of the week and were lucky enough to witness a couple of spells of brief snow showers. To sit in the comfort of Glenforsa House with a log fire roaring and watching the weather front approaching across the loch was quite spectacular. It was gone again within ten minutes and back to brilliant sun. We don’t get weather like that here in Norfolk! It was very hard to drag ourselves away from the view to explore Mull and it was always a pleasure to return. The house itself is exceptional. It doesn’t feel in any way like a holiday home and we felt as if we were house guests in a much-loved family home. The excellent array of books, CDs magazines and relaxed furnishings made the holiday a really memorable time for us all and Toby the Labrador loved going straight across the footbridge to the beach every morning! Please pass on our thanks to the owners for making this beautiful home a holiday home for others to enjoy and for making our stay on this wonderful island so special. The standard of housekeeping was exceptional and the lady who met us on arrival couldn’t have been more helpful.

We have just spent a week at Glenforsa House, this property way exceeded our expectations! We received a warm welcome from the housekeeper and her family, who gave us lots of useful information. The house was so big, comfortable and well equipped it had everything we needed and more. The views whatever the weather were amazing from every window. A wonderful relaxing holiday in this very special place that was enjoyed by the whole family, thank you.
