  • "Lovely cottage, good facilities, very warm with the log burner in the kitchen, gas fire in the lounge in addition to the central heating."

Bedrooms were spacious and tastefully decorated, the bathroom has a lovely bath and walk in shower. Kitchen was well equipped, a tin opener, another rack in the oven and some more baking trays would make it perfect. As it was Christmas we cooked a lot, hence the comments. Lovely cosy lounge nicely furnished, Christmas tree was a nice touch. TV was on the small side, weather was awful during our stay so we made use of all the facilities. Rachel and David were very helpful, we would highly recommend the cottage.

  • "Great place!"

close to town and on main walking routes to Snowdon, just around the corner for the start of Snowdon marathon, which is the main reason we stayed as I was running that. Owner very helpful with requests. Will stay again for a walking holiday

Thanks for the feedback Owen, we appreciate your kind words and well done on the marathon! If you could drop me an email with regards to the cleanliness and I can pick this up with the cleaning company, I would really appreciate it. Many thanks! Property Owner

  • "A fantastic cottage in a great location right at the beginning of the Llanberis path up Snowdon."

The property had everything needed for a comfortable cozy holiday, the enclosed garden was great for our dog, and the utility area good for drying him off before coming inside. We walked right from the front door up into the Dinorwic quarries, and up Snowdon. The bus interchange that can get to Pen y Pass and beyond is a short walk. An outstanding cottage in a great location.

  • "This is one of the most well equipped cottages we have ever stayed in ."

The renovation of the cottage achieved a high standard, and the owners should be congratulated on their work in this respect. It was ideally placed for sightseeing, both locally and further afield , including Anglesey and Caernarfon. A very enjoyable holiday, although the weather could have been kinder to us. it didn't stop us from venturing out.

Hi Stephen and Hilary, thank you for your kind words and choosing to stay at our cottage. We're both pleased that our efforts are appreciated. Best wishes Rachel and David Property Owner

  • "Fantastic property in an excellent location."

Everything I needed for my stay and was very comfortable. Everything was clean and tidy on arrival and the communication with the owner for directions and keys was perfect. Little bit of an issue reversing on the drive in a big vehicle as the neighbour opposite parks across the entrance (not he fault of the owners of the cottage). Quiet location and would recommend if anyone wants accommodation in Llanberis. Microwave and BBQ would be useful - but that is seriously the only negative as everything else was great and made our stay in North Wales very relaxing.

Hi Jude, thank you for your lovely, kind words. We're thrilled you enjoyed the cottage and we welcome the feedback regarding the microwave and BBQ. Microwave ordered and looking into the BBQ! Property Owner

About the location

LLANBERIS

Caernarfon 7 miles; Bangor 10 miles; Betws-y-Coed 17 miles.

Dominated by the grandeur of the Snowdon Massif, Llanberis is flanked by two lakes, Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peris and is one of the most popular mountain tourist centres in the Snowdonia National Park. In fact, Llanberis is something of a mecca for walkers and climbers, being the starting point for the ascent of Snowdon - the highest mountain in England and Wales. The ascent can be made either by train via the Snowdon Mountain Railway, or on foot along one of the many routes to the summit. Each year, major racing events attract thousands to the area: The fast Snowdon Race to the summit, held in July every year, a triathlon known as the world's toughest, and The Snowdonia Marathon, held in October - a gruelling 26-mile course that starts and finishes in Llanberis, circumnavigating the Snowdon Massif. The area is also popular for mountain biking, open water swimming and stand up paddle boarding. Within Llanberis itself there are excellent places to eat and drink and a great choice of shopping. Just 7 miles from Llanberis on the coast is Caernarfon with its magnificent castle and town walls and close by are National Trust properties at Penrhyn, Plas Newydd and Bodnant Gardens.
