You could have been putting it off for years, or maybe you were surprised by a Valentine’s Day proposal but it’s never too early to start planning your big day. LHH are here to help you find the perfect location for your dream wedding and the most romantic honeymoon spot for you to enjoy afterwards.

The beauty of hiring a large holiday house is that you are in complete control of how your big day goes. You may want to hire a caterer, a flower arranger and a cake maker – all of this we can help with. Or you may like to be fully in charge and left to your own devices! Your special day demands a special location, call us now to help you find the location that is just right for you.

Branxholm Park House in the Borders sleeps 22, this property has owners who are on hand to organise everything for you and your guests for the special day. From making the cake to cutting it with a sword, arranging the catering to decorating the room, the attention you receive will be second to none. You will have exclusive access to an Endless Swim Pool, BBQ hut, 2 hot tubs, cinema room and much more.

Knockbrex Castle in Dumfries & Galloway can accommodate up to 22 and offers you a DIY wedding day in a truly unique venue. (Suit of armour as standard!) Invite friends and family and have a reception for up to 100 people in a marquee. The gardens and castle make the perfect backdrop for those all-important photos.

Poyntzfield House on the Black Isle sleeps 16 and can host a reception for up to 30 guests. There are three churches in nearby Cromarty including the historic East Church where you can get married and it is only 5 miles to the sandy beach at Rosemarkie. A full covered swimming pool will keep guests entertained.

Kilfinan House can, in conjunction with the nearby hotel, offer the perfect base for a do it yourself ceremony rather than a package deal. This bespoke option can give you the complete flexibility to ensure the day is unique and meets your needs exactly. The church for the ceremony and the hotel for the reception are walking distance apart but a horse drawn carriage can still be hired for that magical departure.

Gretna Green is synonymous with getting married. For hundreds of years couples have eloped here to tie the knot at the famous Blacksmith’s Shop and as a result it is one of the most sought after locations for a ceremony. There are dozens of professional planners who can guide you through any type of service be it, traditional, Christian or contemporary pagan. Berryburn is a Victorian villa situated just outside of the town, the expansive walled garden is ideal for post ceremony wedding photography or for holding a buffet and reception for up to 30 people.

With the wedding day over, you’ll be wanting to head off into the sunset – and we have just the properties for that too. Both on the Isle of South Uist in the Outer Hebrides these offer the perfect place to watch those magical sunsets and relax into newly married life.

Hebridean Earth House is an utterly unique property for 2 which has been built into the side of a hill. Ultra-modern, luxurious, private and with loch views, it also has an otter run passing right in front of the house. If quiet walks on the beach appeal then there are many to choose from and romantic dinner spots in the nearby hotel.

In stark contrast Smiddy Cottage is a traditional stone walled thatched cottage. Renovated to 5 star standard, it has sensational views across the Atlantic Ocean and to the Isles of Eriskay and Barra. Dogs are welcome and there is an atmospheric wood burning stove for you to cuddle up in front of in the evening.

Call LHH now and let us help you find just the right place to help make the big day a truly special and memorable one.
